Community News

The Community Coalition Against Underage Drinking gives teenagers opportunities to have fun with no alcohol involved. These opportunities include monthly dances and chances to share your musical talents. The dances have a variety of themes, such as Mardi gras, Snowball, Karaoke, and more. The coalition gives teenagers the opportunity to show their music in concerts and Battle of the Bands events. Businesses get involved, like Bailey's and American Legion by helping to put on these activities. The effort to prevent teenage drinking is important to the community, and it shows by their support. The radio station, local television station, and newspaper all help them advertise for the events because they feel it is a good cause for the community.
