Mission Statement

Learning to Live...Living to Learn

Our mission statement has many implications and interpretations but the central theme is learning. We believe that learning is the most important function that the human being undertakes in the course of a lifetime. Learning is not just the formal curriculum in the formal setting of the classroom but rather the combination of the experiences we have throughout our lives. Following are some statements that further define the meaning of our mission statement for our school community:

• Staff will provide students with the academic foundation and structure to live a productive and successful life.
• Parents play a major role in educating their children for life.
• Students have the responsibility of putting forth their best effort to learn in and out of the classroom.
• Community members can be great role models and help children learn from their experiences.
• Each of us should be constantly learning and changing as new experiences and knowledge unfolds before us.
• Learning for all of us should be exciting and fascinating and we should instill and model that sense of excitement about learning.
