Ms. Stridby Liberty Riley Ms. Karin Cyrus-Strid is the Recluse School 3rd, 4th & 5th grade teacher. She was born and raised in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Her hobbies consist of reading, running, traveling, and visiting family and friends. She went to school at Cheyenne Central High School, finishing her senior year at Green River High School. She earned her bachelors degree from the University of Wyoming. For her teaching degree she went to Regis University in Denver. Ms. Strid used to be the head of the City of Gillette Parks Department, a horticulturist with the Extension Office, and started the community garden. She worked as an aide for Meadowlark School too. Ms. Strid wanted to work here because she loves working with this age group.
Her favorite part of her job is working with the kids. "They are hard working and fun!" she says. Her least favorite part is the long drive. The thing she would change about working here is to give the kids more and different food choices. She would not change anything else about her job.
