General Sports Information
Eligibility
All students participating in extra-curricular activities must maintain good grades in the classroom. To be eligible to participate in games all grades must be a C- or higher. If a student has a D or F grade they must work to raise the grade before they can play in any games. The athlete is required to attend practice while on game suspension. When the grade is raised, the athlete is responsible to bring a note indicating the new grade from the teacher, for the coach.
Travel
Teams will travel out of town for games. The school district will buy dinner if the trip is over 100 miles away. For tournaments the school will provide one meal, the athlete will need a sack lunch. All athletes are to dress nicely on out of town trips. Jeans are not allowed. A good rule of thumb is nice colored pants with a collared shirt. Coaches will have specific guidelines for each sport.

ISDP and Activities Participation
Students who are placed into ISDP (the cubes) are not allowed to participate in an activity until they have completed their ISDP assignment. Travel to and from out of Town Activities
In order to participate in any school function scheduled out-of-town, a student MUST travel to the activity in school furnished or school authorized transportation. If parents wish to take their child home with them after an activity, they must request this permission from the sponsor. If parents wish to have their child released to another adult after an activity, a liability waiver must be completed at least 24 hours before the activity trip begins.
Illness
A student will not participate in any student activity if they were absent any portion of the day of the activity because of illness or extended time in a nurse's care. Students who are under a doctor's care, due to illness or injury, are not to participate in a student activity without a doctor's release. If a student is ill on Friday, in order to participate on a Saturday, the coach or sponsor needs a written note from the parent stating that it is okay for the child to participate. If the student was under a doctor's care due to illness, then the student must have a written note from the doctor stating that it is okay for the student to participate. Coaches must have the written note in hand before the student is eligible to compete Saturday.
If a student misses any class time the day of the activity except for one of the aforementioned reasons without approval of the activities office, the student will not be allowed to participate.
