| Welcome to the Wright Jr/Sr High Foreign Language Department! Both Spanish and German are offered to grades 7-12 at our school. The Junior High students have the opportunity to discover what learning a foreign language is like before high school, and the High School students are able to take four years of foreign language, enough for them to be able to communicate with confidence in another language and understand and appreciate a different culture are the goals of our department. High School students also work hard in order that they might venture out and speak German or Spanish in real settings. The Spanish students make a yearly trek to Denver and enjoy the sights and sounds of "Cinco de Mayo," and the German students are planning a trip to their new partner-school in Langenau, Germany through the German American Partnership Program (GAPP). They will stay with German students, visit their school and visit Berlin, Munich and the Bavarian Alps. | |
