The Board of Trustees recognizes the need to provide transportation for students because of distance from school, requirements of Individual Education Plans or other school-related reasons.
School buses will operate for the transportation of students wherever the Board determines such operation justifiable. Determination of the areas to be served will be made considering number of students, practicality and economy of bus operation as compared to other alternatives and applicable recently adopted State Department of Education rules. Adults may also be permitted to ride under circumstances outlined in Regulation 3540-R and the transportation department's "Guest on the Bus" guidelines.
When judged to be in the best interests of the affected children and Campbell County School District, isolated students may apply for room and board, family move, or mileage based on accurate odometer records. In no case are sums paid under this policy to exceed the actual costs incurred by parents or students.
Any person employed by Campbell County School District as a school bus driver; or who has driving as a primary duty, whether full-or part-time, shall hold the appropriate driver's license and endorsements required by the Wyoming Department of Education.
