Kindergarten Information
This page provides parents and guardians with more information about Campbell County School District's kindergarten program. For more information about junior kindergarten, visit the district's JK page.
CCSD's kindergarten program works best when parents and teachers work together. Everyone has something valuable to contribute. Teachers see how a child interacts with other children, assess what and how your child is learning and monitor the progress a child makes.
Your home is your child's first learning environment. The activities you share with your children have a tremendous effect on how they think and what kind of success they find in school.
Many parents ask us what they can do to help their child prepare for school. CCSD recommends the following:
- Read to your child.
- Talk with your child often.
- Get your child his or her own library card.
- Share time with your child.
- Provide your child with many fine motor activities.
- Provide your child with many gross motor activities.
- Be patient.
