The staff and management at Nutrition Services recognizes serving your children and our children of the future as a privilege!
Learning in the classroom requires necessary fuel. Our breakfast and lunch programs provides just that. All menus are analyzed on a weekly basis to ensure we are meeting the federal guidelines. Our goal in the lunchroom is to provide a learning experience of making proper choices by providing proper portions and providing unlimited servings of fruits and vegetables.
Good nutrition is the road to a healthy, happy and successful life!

Additional Information
*Ala-Carte items available at all secondary schools. If an entree is purchased as an Ala-carte item, the student is encouraged to add fresh fruits and vegetables with the purchase at just the cost of a meal. Ala-carte choices are frequently updated to meet dietary guidelines and to provide healthy choices to students to prepare them to continue making lifetime healthy choices.
* Free & Reduced Meal Applications are available at all schools.

* Special need diets are available when referred by physician.
* Due to our on going challenge of meeting the dietary guidelines for students:
1% White Milk and 1% Chocolate Milk are the primary choices for students. Other milk provided upon request of physician due to special dietary needs.
Many of our products are now made with whole grains, even though they may have the same appearance.
Healthy cooking procedures have been adopted to meet dietary guidelines such as no deep frying and low fat items substituted.
All Nutrition Services Staff are required to take "Serving it Safe" upon employment and maintain the upmost knowledge of food and safety measures. Health inspections are located at each nutrition services site and are conducted once a year by the Department of Agriculture.
*Meal pricing. Unlike student meals, the adult meals are not subsidized by federal reimbursement and are priced for the total cost of the meal.
*Student Meal Ticket Accounts
Elementary Students: The District's Power School program is used for tracking elementary student meal ticket accounts and parents are given access to view on line this information. Please contact your child's school for access information.
Secondary Students: Account balance and meal ticket activity is available from the individual school office. Please call the Nutrition Services Manager at your child's school for information.

*Catering & Additional Services are available on a limited basis for District business, such as meetings and events. Brochures are available for menu and pricing. Call 682-2078 for information.
